当院 秋葉山量覚院（あきばさんりょうがくいん）は、神奈川県小田原市に鎮座し、京都聖護院を本山と仰ぐ本山修験宗の寺院です。
修験道とは、日本古来の自然崇拝 山岳信仰と基とし、厳しい山々で修行をすることにより心身を修練し、清浄身をもって神仏に仕えることを目的とする日本独自の宗教です。
本尊として祀る秋葉大権現は、養老二年(七一七年)遠州秋葉山上にて、火防の守護・生業繁栄・国土安穏・衆生済度の誓願を泰澄大師により感得されたものであります。世は戦国時代を迎え天正、徳川家康公により小田原城主を命ぜられた大久保忠世公は、殊に秋葉大権現への信仰帰依あつく、家康公は江戸城の裏鬼門の守護のため大久保公に御本尊を小田原にお移しすることを命じ、法印一月坊笠禅自ら御本尊を背負い、秋葉山上より小田原へ奉還され、以来関東山伏の目付役としての役割を任ぜられました。

Located in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Akibasan Ryogakuin Temple belongs to the Honzan Shugen sect a kind of Shugendo, with Shogoin Temple in Kyoto as its head temple.
Shugendo is a uniquely Japanese spiritual tradition rooted in ancient nature worship and mountain-based asceticism. Through strict training in harsh mountain environments, practitioners known as yamabushi (mountain ascetic monks) cultivate both body and mind in order to serve the divine with a purified spirit.

火防守護、火の幸を恵み給う。
　　正火を守護し、悪火を鎮め給う。
　　　　人間煩悩の炎を滅するよう鎮め給う。
　　　　　　七難を消滅し七福即生をなし給う。

He guards against fire disasters and bestows the beneficial power of sacred fire.
He protects righteous fire and subdues harmful fire.
He calms the inner flames of human desires and delusions.
He dispels the seven great calamities and brings forth the seven blessings in this life.
